Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) extends the portfolio of energy-saving processors with the Athlon X2 4450e and the Athlon X2 4050e.

The two dual-cores are manufactured with a 65 nanometer technique. The core clock speeds are set to 2,100 (
Athlon X2 4050e) respectivly 2,300 Megahertz (
Athlon X2 4450e). AMD specifies the TDP (Thermal Design Power) with 45 watt. At first sight the new models are different to their predecessors
Athlon X2 BE-2350 and
Athlon X2 BE-2400 only in stepping and price.
