A system with a
Triple SLI solution or even a
Quad Crossfire approach with four dual slot cards, more or less fills every PC case following the ATX design. But the
PCI SIG thinks of bigger things:
Three slot graphic cards needing
300 watt. According to
extremetech.com plans for this design have been introduced recently. Another innovation will be the new 8-pin (2x4) power connector. It will have a different design than the one in use at the moment and thus it will not be possible to use a 6-pin connector instead.
