Nordichardware says to have taken a look into an official
AMD document, which holds information about the amount of video memory the new cards are equipped with. The boards with the small
RV710 and the middle-class
RV730 are said to have
at least 512 MiByte VRAM.
The low-end solutions
HD 4450 and
HD 4470 are said to be delivered in two versions with 512 or 1,024 MiByte GDDR3 memory. The cards with 512 MiByte will have chips of the producer Hynix while the bigger ones have Samsung memory. There weren't any cards mentioned with only 256 MiByte.
The middle-class on the contrary offers a lot more variations. AMD's mainstream cards with the
RV730 chip will be available with three different clock speed settings and two different memory setups. The 512 MiByte versions are said to have Hynix memory with is cloacked to 700, 900 or 1,000 MHz. The 1,024 MiByte versions are said to be equipped with Samsung memory.
The smallest variation is supposed to be the
Radeon HD 4650, while the three other cards will hit the market as
HD 4670.
