Core 2 lineup is dominating - desktop and notebook area. AMD's future existence depends of a competitive product. Additionally the acquisition of
Ati has been expensive. The new
Radeon HD 4800 series is a first step taken and the good price/performance ratio makes the cards attractive to customers.
