While taking pictures of our Powercolor Radeon HD 4870 PCS we discovered that the PCB offers marks for three different memory variations. Our sample bears 512 MiByte VRAM but according to the inscription there also could be 1,024 MiByte or even enormous 2,048 MiByte. Since Powercolor already released a HD 4850 with 2 GiByte video memory, it is possible that a HD 4870 with an equal memory equipment will be introduced soon.
