Multi core support for
Starcraft 2 (picture: starcraftwire.net) [Source: view picture gallery]
Starcraft 2 is under construction for about 5 years now, but dual core processors did not arrive in the desktop market before 2005. Furthermore they weren't sold that frequently at first because of the high price and the rare benefits. So
Blizzard started to develop the game on a single core CPU, since they never actually aimed for high-end hardware and the equivalent features.
It seems like
Starcraft will run faster on dual cores only because of the multi core capabilities of current video drivers. Blizzard sticks to the tradition to address almost every possible customer with all the games, since they run on almost any system.
