While both companies each deliver a card that match the default design and settings, MSI also introduced a slightly overclocked version of the HD 4870 X2. The Powercolor HD 4870 X2 and the MSI R4870X2-T2D2G have a core clock speed of 750 MHz and their 2,048 MiByte VRAM, connected with a 256 bit interface, runs at 1.8 GHz. The cores of the MSI R4870X2-T2D2G-OC were overclocked by about 30 MHz.
