The “Destroyer” is the first AMD spin-off Foxconn makes of the popular Quantum Force series. (picture: Foxconn)
The Foxconn “
Destroyer” uses Nvidia’s Nforce 780a SLI chipset and supports all AM2 and Phenom processors, Hypertransport 3.0 and up to 8 GiByte PC2 8500 memory. Among four PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots, there are two PCI Express x1 slots, one PCI slot, six SATA connectors, two E-SATA connectors, one ATA 133 and two IEEE1394a ports on the board. Furthermore the “
Destryoer” offers two Gigabit Ethernet connectors as well as an integrated Geforce 8200 graphics unit and a 7.1 onboard sound chip.
Just like the Foxconn Quantum Force “Black Ops” the “
Destroyer” comes with accessories designed for overclockers. There are for example the
4 in 1 Quantum Cooler (enables you to use dry ice, water or liquid Nitrogen to cool the Northbridge), the
Quantum Lap, the
Quantum Flow Kit, which is said to improve the airflow around the graphics card, and some resistors for adjusting voltages. Onboard Cmos Reset and powers switch are available, too, of course.
The recommended retail price for Europe is 279. At the moment online shops and stores list the “
Destroyer” as not available, yet.
