First Beta Efi introduced

GC 2008: Efi is ready for use - BIOS with graphical interface and mouse control

MSI offers the first Efi beta version for the DDR3 board P45D3 Platinum. At the MSI booth we could check out the BIOS remake.
The main menu has a high resolution and offers access to the submenus "OC” (Overclocking), "Spiele” (Games), "Einstellungen” (Settings), "Eco” and "Werkzeuge” (Tools). They can be selected with the mouse. A click with the right mouse button leads back to the main menu. In "OC” for example we could adjust clock speeds and voltages. The menu "Werkzeuge” (Tools) offers additional features for the MSI P45D3 Platinum - like updating the BIOS. Here you can also restore a hard drive backup without starting Windows. But you need to insert the right CD for this procedure. The same applies for the integrated games.

According to MSI, Efi requires a eight MiByte BIS chip. You can also install a classic BIOs at any time.
