As we noticed during our
Warhead benchmarks, that there hadn't been any 64 Bit files, we assumed that there possibly would be a 64 Bit mode in the new Crysis game. Now Crytek commented on the situation - it seems like they want to offer the files for download as a patch.
Sven Metzger, Crytek Community Manager,
wrote that the 64 Bit files were removed for the release. But Crytek would be working on it to deliver them at a later stage.
If Crysis Warhead will run noticeably faster on 64 Bit systems, is unclear at this time. In the original Crysis the 64 Bit version delivered sharper textures at long distances than the 32 Bit version did. But via console commands, those effects could be activated on 32 Bit systems, too.
