PCGH Special: PC games in the Star Trek universe (part 1: 1985 to 2000)

"Space - the Final Frontier. Today: The years 1985 to 2000. - Star Trek: The Kobayashi Alternative, 1985 (picture: Mobygames.com) - A classical text adventure. You needed patience and good English skills.

Star Trek: The Rebel Universe, 1987 (picture: Mobygames.com). The first attempt to visualize the bridge of the Enterprise.
Star Trek: Trek Trivia, 1988 (picture: Mobygames.com) A quiz game like You don´t know Jack - just a lot earlier than the funny Jack series.
Star Trek V - The final Frontier, 1989 (picture: Mobygames.com). A more or less poor conversion of the movie.
Star Trek 25th Anniversary, 1992 (picture: Mobygames.com). A good Ponit-and-Klick-Adventure with challenging riddles and the dirst attempts of flying the Enterprise.
Star Trek: Judgment Rites, 1993 (picture: Mobygames.com). A good sequel of 25th Anniversary - but with even more challenging riddles.
Star Trek: The Next Generation: A final Unity, 1995 (picture: Mobygames.com). A solid adventure with the new crew - Those who new the TV series had a big advantage.
Star Trek: Borg, 1996 (picture: Mobygames.com). A so called interactive video sequence game. Hardcore fans should have had their fun.
Star Trek: Klingon, 1996 (picture: Mobygames.com). Interactive Klingon language course with a lot of gaming sequences. Even when the voice recognition was working Klingon required a lot of patience, disziplin and endurance.
Star Trek: Deep Space 9 - Harbinger, 1996 (picture: Mobygames.com). Adventure with Ego perspective.
Star Trek: Star Fleet Academy, 1997 (picture: Mobygames.com). Finally you were allowed to control the ships yourself.
Star Trek: Klingon Honor Guard, 1998 (picture: Mobygames.com). The first Ego Shooter in the Star Trek universe. Due to the Unreal Engine the graphics were quite good in that time.
Star Trek: The Next Generation - Birth of the Federation, 1999 (picture: Mobygames.com). A turn based strategy game with some tricky missions.
Star Trek: Star Fleet Command, 1999 (picture: Mobygames.com). Again you to command of spaceships in modern graphics.
Star Trek: Hidden Evil, 1999 (picture: Mobygames.com). The evil wasn't that hidden, since the game was on the screen in fornt of you...
