Once again a modification for Crysis hit the PCGH main page. Why? The user Simrad hasn't just copied jungle and savannah in Far Cry 2 style into the Cry Engine 2 but also integrated dynamic weather effects.

The first screenshots and the first video of the Crysis mod "Far Cry 2” look quite good already. The mod is said to have a day/night cycle, dynamic weather (possibly dynamic fire, too), Ultra High config and its own sounds.

I'm a big fan of weather effects and day/night cycles, too. But I personally think that a good game has to have a bit more than good graphics and stunning effects. A good plot is, in my opinion, one of the most important features a game can have. Only recently Doug Lombardi said that the graphics reached a level that can hardly be improved and that other features of a game will become more important.
very,very nice...ive been playing a fair bit of stalker clear sky lately,and really do appreciate the fantastic weather/lighting effects...really does draw you deeper into a game i think...god knows what extra graphical effects would do to the fps on crysis though lol.
