The November update for Microsoft's multimedia interface DirectX is available for download via web based installer. The DirectX SDK is also available on Microsoft's download servers and will, according to an announcement, give a preview of Direct X 11.

Microsoft requests an authentication via "Windows Genuine Advantage” before you can access the web based installer. If you want to install DirectX on a system that doesn't have an internet connection, you will either have to wait for the Redist version (which isn't available separately yet), or you download the complete 494 MByte big SDK - that contains a Redist version.
Because of legal licensing reasons we cannot offer this version for download separately.
