Better graphics for Crytek's high-end shooter

Crysis Warhead: Benchmarks with Rygel's high-res texture mod

Rygel has already designed some popular high-res texture mods for Crysis and now he deals with Crysis Warhead. We already published some comparative screenshots and now have some benchmarks with the high res textures.

Crysis Warhead - Rygel high-res texture mod: Introduction
Both, Crysis and Crysis Warhead, have excellent Shader effects and huge levels indeed, but the textures are really not perfect everywhere. Right here Rygel's high-res texture mod enters the game. Especially the environment textures are noticeably improved, as you can see on the Mouseover comparison below. Additional screenshots can be found at: Crysis Warhead: High-res texture mod versus original graphics

On the next page we have some benchmarks in the popular resolutions of 1,280 x 1,024, 1,680 x 1,050 and 1,920 x 1,200. All the graphics cards ran with their default clock speeds. Please bear in mind that our benchmark sequence cannot simulate the effects caused by one or two hours of continuous gaming - because of the huge amount of texture data the fps ratio will decrease.
