At breathtaking speed and in ego perspective you are running over the rooftops of the city, constantly chased by the persecutors. Due to Nvidia's Physx technology wind, weapons and motion sequences are said to be even more realistic on the PC version. For example you and your opponents can interact with flags, banners and clothes. Ground fog is supposed to react physically correct to movements and explosions will fill the air with smoke and debris. Physx is also said to make weapon impacts more real.

How Physx affects Mirror's Edge can be seen in the high-res video below.

What do you think about the Physx effects in Mirror's Edge or in general? Tell us in the comments.

Well, we will have to wait for the PC version to be released (or until we get a review copy). But I'm quite sure that we will take a look at Physx in Mirror's Edge, although I can't promise.

Damn, i dunno about the gameplay of this game but it sure does look pretty!

Maybe i'll pick it up since i got GTX 260 recently.

Don't know about the performance, I don't think there will be significant draw-back. Maybe PCGH can make a feature: On/Off PhysicX Performance

yeh,i agree with Yapa...primary concern has to be decent fps, with decent settings...and judging from the video(i presume nvidia are using the maximum gcard horsepower available)in games physics really does take its toll.

Physx.... hmm being an Nvidia owner I do like it, a lot... and I've played GRAW2 with it... it can do wonders. But at the same time I dont like the idea.... I mean it takes performance away from the graphics card... so you get less fps.

Also with faster and multi-core cpu's I believe its the CPU's job to do the Physics, AI and similar things... while the GPU has to bring me maximun fps and eye candy.

So I'm really torn about it...

Damn, just when I bought an ATI card. Hopefully the greens and reds play nice and create compatibility layers for their stream processing, cuda, physx, havok stuff. Lol. Chances.
