Silenx Noiseless GPU Cooler: Introduction
The Silenx Noiseless GPU Cooler lives up to its name since it is delivered without any fans. To reach a competitive cooling performance nevertheless, Silenx installed five 6 mm heatpipes, which come into direct contact to the GPU - a so called Heatpipe-Direct-Touch principle (HDT). 28 aluminum fins are connected to the hatpipes as well as the cooling plate. The overall dimensions of the device are 228 x 113 x 33 millimeters. Thus the HR03- GTX is one of the largest coolers on the market. It weights 365 grams.

Silent Fan Kit IGX-3F2: Fan triplet
In order to cool current high-end cards without any stability problems, Silenx offers the IGX-3F2, a kit of three 75 x 14 mm fans. On 12 volt they are running at 2,500 rpm. The blister contains two conductors that can be used to reduce the voltage to 7 respectively 5 volt and an adaptation for connecting all three fans at once.

Silenx Noiseless GPU Cooler: Assembly
After attaching the memory coolers and the two thermal pads you have to place a plastic frame around the NVIO 2 chip. After that the appropriate cooler is attached via push-pins. The same kind of fixation is intended for the cooler of the voltage converters - but you have to put the tiny thermal pads on the components by hand. Finally the cooler is attached with screws - thus you will need a screw driver to get the Silenx product onto the graphics card. The fans are clipped to the fins as it is described in the manual. But demounting is rather difficult because the interlock is very tight.

Although the Silenx Noiseless GPU Cooler inclusive the IGX-3F2 fans only blocks two additional slots it might block some SATA connectors because of its length. Like the Thermalright the Silenx bends the PCB a little and a collision between the memory coolers and the Northbridge cooler cannot be ruled out. During our tests the conductors became so hot that we almost burned our fingers when we touched them - regardless if one or three fans were attached.
