On a Cebit preview event Intel released information about the CPU Roadmap 2009 and 32 nanometer technology. PC Games Hardware summarizes the most important details.

The previously released Roadmap has been confirmed again. Accordingly we can expect the smaller Nehalem processors Lynnfield and Havendale in the second half of the year. While Lynnfield offers four cores and eight threads, Havendale will have two cores and four threads only. So both use Hyper Threading, like the Bloomfield aka Core i7 does. But it is unlikely that they will be sold as Core i7 - the names Core i5 and Core i3 have been brought up several times on the internet, but Intel kept a tight lip about any details.
Around the end of the year, in fourth quarter, the production will be switched from 45 nanometers to 32 nanometers - according to the "Tick Tock Model”. The complex development of this new architecture is running on schedule says Intel - it seems like that, given the flagging competition and the poor global economy, there is no need to let things slide.
