The RPG Drakensang: The Dark Eye only recently was released to the international markets but it has already been tested for its widescreen resolution support.

In August 2008, Drakensang was released in German-speaking countries and in late February the high-class role-playing game hit the international markets. In the Widescreen Gaming Forum new games are tested and classified for their support of widescreen resolution. In addition to the comparison between the different aspect ratios (4:3, 16:9, 16:10 etc.) the effects of widescreen resolutions on the field of view, the cut scenes or the HUD are examined, too. WSGF user Tanuki made the effort and provided screenshots of the different settings in Drakensang.

Besides the common resolutions the guys at the Widescreen Gaming Forum also test extreme settings like 5,040 x 1,050. Scavvenjahh used his TripleHead2Go setup with three displays to take screenshots of Drakensang running in this impressive resolution.
