Modder Hawkeye|Puppy reveals in Crytek's official Crymod Forum, how he wants to reach photorealistic graphics by adjusting the Time of the Day parameters. The textures aren't changed and the modder wants to be able to visualize a whole day perfectly when the work is finished.

Update: April 3, 2009 Modder Hawkeye|Puppy has again published new screenshots with optimized Time of the Day (ToD) parameters. Of course we won't hold those pictures back. So far it is still unknown when the mod will be final. We certainly keep you up-to-date.
