The new Acer Aspire Easy-Store H340 has a compact design, but still offers space for up to four 3.5 inch Hot Swap hard drives with a maximal capacity of up to four terabyte. Furthermore adding new drives is supposed to be most easy since the customer just has to plug in a new storage device into the Hot Swap slot.

One of the interesting features of the Aspire Easy-Store N340 is that the device automatically creates backups of all connected PCs so that all data is safe and reinstalling a system is easier. Furthermore it is possible to have important files and folders automatically copied to internal or external hard drives to minimize the threat of possible data loss.

The Aspire Easy-Store H340 is based on Intel's atom N230 with the 945GSC Express chipset with ICH7R and 2 GiByte RAM. This ensures low power consumption for the administrating hardware. In order to increase the energy efficiency the user can program Standby and activation times.

Besides a gigabit Ethernet LAN port the Easy-Store H340 offers one USB port on the front side as well as four USB ports and one E-SATA port on the rear side. Due to the remote success option via a personal and secure website of Windows Home Server - the operating system of the Aspire Easy-Store H340 - you can always access your data.

The weight of the Acer Aspire Easy-Store H340 is specified with 5.1 kilograms and the home server is said to become available in April for 399 Euros.
