Competition for Crysis & Co?

Aliens vs. Predator: Crysis killer?

The first information, screenshots and a teaser video of Aliens versus Predator have been released. Can the action game keep the pace of competitors like Crysis?

Aliens vs. Predator is developed by the Rebellion team that had been responsible for the original game in 1999. The player can choose to be a Colonial Marine, a Predator or a Alien. There will be a individual campaign for each of the figures. In the multiplayer the game offers three factions that fight each other.

Developer Rebellion believes that the utilized technology offers the possibility to create a really scary gaming experience that goes under the skin. What do you think about the graphics: Can Aliens vs. Predator reach the graphical quality of Crysis or other up-to-date shooter games? Give your opinion in the comments.

Aliens vs. Predator will be released in early 2010 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

AVP 1&2 were few of the best horror fps games i've played, and since its being made by same company i'm very much anticipating this game. I always considered AVP2 as 3 part games when you play the horror part, the exciting part and the super cool part.

harshahorizon, why do you always sound pissed off? I'm no fan of MS either but Crysis really was slow on most machines when released (both in DX9 & DX10).

I really don't care much if this game is going to have stunning graphics like Crysis had (and btw revolutionary it was only in the graphic department although i greatly enjoyed Crysis's gameplay and story). This game is something else and i hope its gonna rock!

I try to be more realistic. I understand your sayings but as i can see it, its due to Microsoft that i can enjoy games to my PC. Microsoft Windows, Direct X.

What I would like to see from Microsoft is a lite special version off windows for PC gamers. Very low installation HDD space and ram usage with some thinks to accelerate gaming.

ok here is the thing far cry 2,assassin creed and hawk only utilize pixel shade 4.0 and vertex shared 3.0 but in crysis pixel shade 4.0, vertex shade 4.0 and geometric shade 1.0 were utilize.so crysis had to pay a big price when trying push the boundaries.other thing is MS done thing to us(pc gamer) they only care about their pathetic,childish and dumb loses box(xbox 360).
