Western Digital still roughs up the hard drive market. In Japan a new model with 2 TByte capacity and 64 MiByte Cache has been sighted.
In Japan a new model of Western Digital's 2 TByte HDD series has emerged. The model from the Caviar Black series has 2 TByte capacity and offers 64 MiByte cache. It runs at 7,200 revolutions per minute and has a SATA 3.0 port. The basis is the WD2002FYPS. For about 300 dollar the hard drive is said to be available outside Japan soon - that's reported by the Japan website
