Crysis mods: Maximum jungle graphics and realistic forests

The Crysis modding scene announces two exciting news: On the one hand the notorious Crysis technology map of the GDC 2006 has been overhauled and on the other hand there are new pictures about a forest project.
 Realistic MP Forest

In 2006 the Crytek developers published a Crysis technology video which showed breathtaking jungle scenes. When the game was finally launched the graphics had not been that impressive anymore. That certainly was a field day for modders: BaggiBox copied the map and now offers even more realistic graphics with his updated Time of the Day settings and a modified HUD. Please look at our screenshots and the video. More information can be found in the Crymod thread.

A further project is about getting as much realistic forests for multiplayer maps as possible. Modder Bananasplit wants to create a resource-saving MP map - a first screenshot collage can be found in our gallery.

More information about Crysis and the Cryengine can be found in our articles 1.15 Gigapixel: Biggest game screenshot ever, Cryengine 2: Best of photography thread and Crysis 2: Modders show possible graphics.
