Intel's P55 will apparently offer support for Nvidia's SLI technology.
Just recently Nvidia announced that Intel and some leading motherboard manufacturers like Asus, Gigabyte, Evga and MSI licensed the SLI technology for P55 chipsets. The first rumors came up at Computex 2009 already, but now it seems like things get official.
But the two PCI Express slots will most likely be linked with eight electrical lanes. The Nvidia chip required for two times 16 lanes is apparently not integrated on the motherboards. Expreview reported
about the announcement.
