Blizzard's own game convention is coming and new information about Starcraft 2 has been revealed. Wings of Liberty, as the first part of the Starcraft 2 trilogy is called, is most likely to be one of the most important games at the Blizzcon 2009 although it has been rescheduled to 2010. In our gallery you can find the latest screenshots of the Starcraft 2 single player.

After the announcement that Starcraft 2 won't offer LAN support, there is more bad news for the gamers: VG247 was told by game designed Dustin Browder that Blizzard's RTS won't offer a co-op campaign - not even via the new BattleNet. Besides that it has also been announced that Blizzard integrated DRM. According to incgamers an internet connection is required during the installation and if you want to make use of additional features like achievements. Nevertheless you don't need to be online to play the single player campaign.

On the other hand there is also good news for the Starcraft 2 fans. Blizzard's Rob Pardo said that a trail version of Starcraft 2 is planned but it won't be released before the game has hit the markets itself. So there is most likely to be a SC2 demo after Wings of Liberty is released in 2010. Furthermore Dustin Browder said that he is sure that there will also be additional content available via the Battle net. But there is no information yet if those pieces of downloadable content will be free.
