Blizzard's own game convention is coming and new information about Starcraft 2 has been revealed. Wings of Liberty, as the first part of the Starcraft 2 trilogy is called, is most likely to be one of the most important games at the Blizzcon 2009 although it has been rescheduled to 2010. In our gallery you can find the latest screenshots of the Starcraft 2 single player.

After the announcement that Starcraft 2 won't offer LAN support, there is more bad news for the gamers: VG247 was told by game designed Dustin Browder that Blizzard's RTS won't offer a co-op campaign - not even via the new BattleNet. Besides that it has also been announced that Blizzard integrated DRM. According to incgamers an internet connection is required during the installation and if you want to make use of additional features like achievements. Nevertheless you don't need to be online to play the single player campaign.

On the other hand there is also good news for the Starcraft 2 fans. Blizzard's Rob Pardo said that a trail version of Starcraft 2 is planned but it won't be released before the game has hit the markets itself. So there is most likely to be a SC2 demo after Wings of Liberty is released in 2010. Furthermore Dustin Browder said that he is sure that there will also be additional content available via the Battle net. But there is no information yet if those pieces of downloadable content will be free.

I'm glad its a polished version of the original. The graphics are obviously better, awesome in fact, and all the new functions, upgrades and most importantly the new storyline. The way you can choose from a multiple number of mission and the optional and so called "bonus mission" and subplots. That's exactly what I've being waiting for.

For me starcraft is the best game ever made, forgot RTS, the best game period. How did I get hook on it? Two things. The awesome game play and the classic story. I love the starcraft universe and the fact the starcraft 2 has an in depth storyline is why I can't wait for its eventual release. It's got the best storyline of any game ever made. I will explore all the subplots, characters and main plots. The single player campaign is what its all about for me.

Then once i've done that, I can kick some .... online and against my mates. lol

From all the Blizzard franchise books i've read , Starcraft appealed to me the least. Still has great story though.

No COOP mode? Big failure there... honestly I was never interested in this game as it just seems to be a "slightly" polished version of the original.

I find it funny how they brag about units being able to "Jump" from platform to platform... I mean RTS games had elevation back in the late 90's... some of the stuff they showcase as new features have been around for years.

This is one game I'm not going to be buying, its just not for me.

Bring on Supreme Commander 2, hopefully not gimped for the Consoles.

Spot on Yapa!

This game is gonna sell big regardless (the whole Korean nation will buy this lol), even if its going to be crap (which it won't), but hardly, imo, close to the previous masterpieces of Blizzard.

Also, i think i remember in one of the gameplay videos they said they will have coop in Campaign. hmmz gonna look for it.
