Noctua now officially offers the NH-U12P SE2 high-end cooler for the socket LGA1156. The Special Edition package contains two fans and thermal grease.

With the NH-U12P SE2 Noctua has introduced the successor of the popular NH-U12P. The new NH-U12P SE2 is compatible to the Intel's socket LGA1156. Besides that the 600 gram heavy tower cooler can of course be used for the other currently used sockets (LGA1366, LGA775, AM2, AM2+, AM3), too. The NH-U12P SE2 is delivered with two 120 millimeter fans (NF-P12) that provide the airstream required. The package of the Special Edition also contains Noctua's thermal grease NT-H1. In order to ensure high contact pressure the NH-U12P SE2 is attached to the motherboard with SecuFirm2, a multi-socket mounting system.
The Noctua NH-U12P SE2 is said to become available on the retail market in mid-September for about 57 Euros.
