The system requirements of Borderlands have been released. It is yet unknown if the specifications list the minimal or recommended system.

Borderlands is developed by Gearbox and is based on a heavily modified version of Epic's Unreal Engine 3 and utilizes the Physx API. The most obvious difference to other games is the concept Art Style which has been chosen for the graphics of Borderlands. Among the technical features offered are Parallax Occlusion Mapping, soft Shadows, HDR Rendering, Screen Space Ambient Occlusion and Depth of Field. It is not noted if those specifications represent the minimal or recommended system requirements of Borderlands. A 2.4 GHz CPU (single-core) and 1 GiByte RAM as well as a 256 MiByte graphics card are not state of the art at the moments so it is most likely that those specifications are the minimal requirements. But a Radeon R8xx series is unknown to us.
