Bah my mistake there, i got confused cause the previous test said it was on Very High and this one one Ultra high. Both said dx10 so i assumed it was the same.

All that is fine, but wth is wrong with reviews that offer results of previous gen cards that are worse than when they were released. Can you explain to me how the hell a hd4870(512) suddenly performs worse than ever in Far Cry 2. If you dont understand what i'm referring to just take a look at the FC2 GPU bench posted on PCGH earlier:

That is because the old benchmarks you linked to were run at High Details while the new benchmarks were run at Ultra Details which are a lot more challenging.

The results for a hd4870 in this review of the 5770 are much lower than before. As i own one i know for a fact that its not as near as slow as that, and i have a q8200 with 4gigs ocz drr2(1000mhz) so its definitely not close to your test rig.

5770 looks like a great card, especially for a cheap kickass crossfire setup, but there's no need to lower the score of a hd4870 (which is a viable and comparable option for anyone upgrading now) since the 5770 has its obvious advantages, aside from decent gaming performance.
