Apparently Zuxxez wants to beat Risen and Gothic 4 Arcania with Two Worlds 2 in matters of visual quality. New screenshots are supposed to confirm this claim.
Two Worlds 2: Brand-new screenshots (Oct. 16, 2009) [Source: view picture gallery]
Original article: October, 16 It's already common knowledge that the developers of Two Worlds 2 don't want to stand back behind the competitors in matter of graphics as soon as the role-playing game is released next year. Since the RPG isn't developed for PC only, but also for Mac and the consoles, a new engine called GRACE has been created. This piece of technology is said to be able to deliver a character with up to 12,000 polygons with 1024 x 1024 pixels each as well as dynamic light sources, god rays, bloom effects and depth of field blur.
Now brand-new screenshots of Two Worlds 2 show a swamp environment. Here the enhancements of graphics and sounds are supposed to unfold completely. The ground below the feet is making smacking noises if a character walks over the muddy terrain. On dry ground the noises aren't as loud and if there are puddles of water involved the sound will be modified with the appropriate effects. Wafts of mist and rainy weather make the whole atmosphere even more realistic.
