The announcement that Star Wars: The force Unleashed wouldn't be published for the PC had made many games angry back in 2008. But the developers changed their minds and in November the Ultimate Sith Edition will be released. But what are the system requirements?

You might remember: According to Lucas Arts' Cameron suey Star Wars: the force Unleashed won't be available on the PC, because the average computer is not fast enough. Only a system worth 4000 US Dollars would be able to handle Star Wars: The Force Unleashed appropriately. That rightly caused quite a stir among the PC gamers in May 2008.
But more than a year later, in course of the comic con 2209 Lucas Arts announced that Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will, in form of the Ultimate Sith Edition, be released for the PC, too. This special version of the game will be published for PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PS3. It contains the two additional missions which are offered as DLC on the Xbox Marketplace as well as the planned mission Infinities. Furthermore a bonus level will bring the player to Hoth, where you will meet Luke skywalker, too.
Now
Aspyr has unveiled the system requirements for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (PC):
Minimal system requirements of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition • Operating system: Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7
• CPU: Dual-core CPU with 2.4 GHz (Intel core 2 Duo or Athlon X2)
• RAM: 2 GiByte
• Graphics card: Shader model 3 with 256 MiByte VRAM (Radeon HD 2900 or Geforce 8800)
HDD: 24 GByte + 1 GByte swap file
Recommended system requirements of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition • CPU: Intel core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 5200+
• Graphics card: Radeon HD 4870 or Geforce 9800 GT
Supported graphics cards: • Ati Radeon HD 2900, 3850, 3870, 4850, 4870
• Nvidia Geforce 8800, 9600, 9800, 260, 280
Now, given the previous development, one question arises: Are those specs for a "4000 Dollar system”? Without knowing the exact prices at the moment one can definitely answer with No. Of course the requirements sound quite high in some regards, but some parts don't even make sense (HD 4870 and 9800 GT in the same performance class? Core 2 duo 2.8 GHz and Athlon X2 5200+ in the same sentence?)
