Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Patch 1.1 ready for download

The Ultimate Sith Edition of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has just been released, but Lucas Arts already offers the first patch for download.

You might remember: According to Lucas Arts' Cameron Suey Star Wars: The Force Unleashed won't be released for the PC because the average platform would be to slow to handle game. But now, shortly after the release of the game's PC version, Lucas Arts has delivered a 400 MByte big patch that, among other things, delivers a certain problem: The changelog lists general performance optimizations.

Star Wars - The Force Unleashed: Changelog

This update includes some general performance improvements including the following:
- General performance optimizations
- Optimized in game cloth handling
- Optimized in game trees leaf handling
- Added a detail setting to improve performance on lower end (dual core) machines
- Addressed audio stuttering issues
- Addressed options disappearing briefly after pressing [Esc] at the Main Menu
- Addressed flashing placeholder text

Logitech Rumblepad 2
Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2

- Operating system: Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7
- CPU: Dual-Core-CPU with 2.4 GHz (Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon X2)
- RAM: 2 GiByte
- Graphics card: Shader Model 3 with 256 MiByte VRAM (Radeon HD 2900 or Geforce 8800)
- HDD: 24 GByte + 1 GB Swap file

Lets see here.....$50 bucks to buy this game. Almost an hour just to install it on a system thats only about 4 months old. About 10 minutes of actual playtime before the " issues" began. (the issues being screen locking up because of the extreme amount of "lag"). Almost another hour searching the net for a solution and finding myself at this website. And another 45 minutes to download a patch (I'm downloading the patch as I write this). I cant say I'm all that thrilled at the moment.......

Try reinstalling the game and apply the patch before starting it again.
