The Ultimate Sith Edition of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has just been released, but Lucas Arts already offers the first patch for download.

You might remember: According to Lucas Arts' Cameron Suey Star Wars: The Force Unleashed won't be released for the PC because the average platform would be to slow to handle game. But now, shortly after the release of the game's PC version, Lucas Arts has delivered a 400 MByte big patch that, among other things, delivers a certain problem: The changelog lists general performance optimizations.
Star Wars - The Force Unleashed: Changelog This update includes some general performance improvements including the following:
- General performance optimizations
- Optimized in game cloth handling
- Optimized in game trees leaf handling
- Added a detail setting to improve performance on lower end (dual core) machines
- Addressed audio stuttering issues
- Addressed options disappearing briefly after pressing [Esc] at the Main Menu
- Addressed flashing placeholder text
