On December 1, 2009 there will be free DLC for Need for Speed: Shift. PC ad Xbox 360 gamers will get five new cars and one new game mode. PS3 owners have to wait until December 3.

With the free Team Racing Pack for Need for Speed: Shift the racing game is upgraded with five cars as well as a new racing mode. The downloadable content will be released on the Xbox Live Marketplace and for the PC on December 1, 2009 and in the Playstation 3 Network Store on December 03.
In the new Team Racing mode two teams of up to six players each compete against one another. This increases the maximal limit of players in online games is increased from eight to twelve. Now the abilities of a whole team is important and not the individual performance of a single driver. Team tactics will become most important.
The Team Racing Pack adds the following cars to the vehicles available in Need for Speed: Shift:
• 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 427
• 1967 Shelby GT-500
• 1969 Dodge Charger R/T
• 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T
• 1998 Toyota Supra Mark IV
