In order to create a comparison between PC Games hardware tested a Radeon HD 5870 with the current Hemlock Beta 5 driver under Windows 7. All in all we tested six resolutions with maximal quality to show scaling between the individual resolutions. Background: Stalker: Call of Pripyat benchmark When launching the benchmark you can choose between several presets, the renderer (DirectX 9 to DirectX 11) and resolutions. An advanced options menu offers settings for Anti Aliasing (including Transparency AA), SSAO modes and SSAO quality. DirectX 10.1, DirectX 11 Tessellation and DirectX 11 shadows can be activated, too - depending on the used graphics card of course. The benchmark itself shows a scene from Pripyat and covers four stages with different weather and Day-Night cycle settings. When the benchmark is done you can compare your results online and even send your data to GSC, who emphasize that the benchmark doesn't have any financial intentions and all data is kept in confidence.
