Anno 1404 add-on Venice: No demo planned, system requirements are set
The system requirements of Venice, the add-on for Anno 1404: Dawn of Discovery, have been revealed. Furthermore Ubisoft announced that no demo version is planned.

In February Anno 1404: Dawn of Discovery is upgraded with the add-on Venice. On our inquire Ubisoft also told us that currently there are no plans for a demo version of Anno 1404 Venice. Furthermore we were told that the system requirements of the add-on would match those of the main game although the required disc space can vary (the final amount has not been set yet).
The Minimal system requirements of Anno 1404 Venice:
• Processor: 3 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or comparable • RAM: 1 GiByte • Graphics card: 128 MiByte video memory with Pixel Shader 2.0
The Recommended system requirements of Anno 1404 Venice:
• Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 (2.4 GHz) or AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ (2.5 GHZ) • RAM: 2 GiByte • Graphics card: 512 MiByte video memory with Pixel Shader 3.0
According to Ubisoft the following features will be introduced with the extension:
• The rich Anno 1404 environment gets complemented with a new Venetian setting offering new possibilities of interaction: - Build two new Venetian ship types: the small and big tradesman cog - Develop secret cabinets, infiltrate your enemies and sabotage their expansion - Take control over enemy cities thanks to your influence in the cities' council board
• Play Anno 1404 online in a multiplayer mode: - Choose to play versus or coop to defeat the AI by combining your techniques - Up to 8 players
• New challenges and quests: - Up to 60 new items and 300 new quests with two new types: trading race and ship boarding - Discover and exploit a new type of island, the Volcano island - New scenarios to face new challenges with new achievements, medals and crests

Who cares about the system requirements for an expansion ?? Better ask them what price will the faithful Anno fans have to pay to have multiplayer... back. So, where's that 'boycott Venice' petition ?
