The latest security updates for Microsoft software array have been released. The six announced security bulletins have been made available. Three of them have been rated critical. Besides the new operating system Windows 7 the updates affect diverse versions of the Internet Explorer.

Previously the latest version of the browser, the Internet Explorer 8 had not been mentioned as threatened, but according to the security bulletin MS09-072 it had been affected, too. Due to a security vulnerability it had been possible to infect a computer just by accessing a infected website.

Another vulnerability was related to the Internet Authentication Service (ISA). But according to Microsoft this leak could only be exploited when the user had installed software from other makers in addition. The third critical vulnerability is caused in the Microsoft Office Project and allowed remote access without the update.

As usually the security updates are distributed via Windows Update or can be downloaded from the Microsoft website manually.

Ahh, Windows 7, complete with all the security holes that every other MS OS has had in the past. I'm not surprised that they are patching it so soon.

Watch this space for a fix hardware issues patch.

Just wondering if 3rd Party software dev's need to release a patch so that there software works with Windows 7
