Just Cause 2 Screenshots

Just Cause 2 maxed out visual quality

In spite of its cross platform development Just Cause 2 offers, due to DirectX 10 and Nvidia's CUDA, high quality graphics on the PC. PC Games Hardware shows maxed out impressions with full effects and SGSSAA under DX10.

Just Cause 2 is a DirectX 10 only game and thus runs only if you use Windows Vista or 7 and an appropriate graphics card. Due to higher screen resolutions and high quality Anti-Aliasing modes as well as Anisotropic Filtering the PC version of Just Cause 2 looks noticeably better than the console variant. But in cooperation with Nvidia the developers enhanced the Avalanche Engine 2.0 even further: The Geforce exclusive CUDA graphics offer a Bokeh Filter and GPU based, more realistic water simulation.

PC Games Hardware used a Geforce GTX 480 and visited the virtual island of Panau in order to teach the regime a lesson. Nvidia's high-end graphics card improves the game not only with the exclusive effects, but also with the highly unofficial Sparse Grid Supersampling Anti-Aliasing (Geforce GTX 480/470 with unmatched image quality in modern games). In our gallery you can find several screenshots that show the action game with maxed out graphics.

Since Raffael was using a system with a slow dual-core processor he got less than 30 frames per second. In combination with a faster CPU the framerate would be higher since the GTX 480 isn't used to its limit.
