Like in any other game, the graphical appeal of Call of Duty: Black Ops has its upsides and downsides. PC Games Hardware shows the tops and the flops of the earliest Call of Duty game.
Since November, 09, shooter fans have been playing Call of Duty: Black Ops. Especially PC Gamers might very much appreciate features like dedicated servers and a bunch of tools for flawless multiplayer experience - unlike seen in Modern Warfare 2. But still, there are some initial difficulties with the Multiplayer.
Since the second part of the series, Call of Duty has been based on Infinity Wards' homebrew-engine. By now, they count the fourth generation, naming it "IW 4.0". The lighting system has been improved especially for Black ops. Furthermore, the texture streaming has been changed in order to make the characters look more realistic. Also, the have altered the physics, the looks of the jungle and water and the fire effects. Wherever there is light, there is a shadow, which is also true in Call of Duty: Black Ops.
